Blogpost #13

My community partnership, the Immigration Legal Resource center is a community based center. Although they do work with policy makers that does not mean they directly work with the governor. The center's main goal is immigration law and getting the word out, and having many join as well as having many peoples positive input into it. The governor does recognize that the Immigration legal resource center is there to help and provide those who need assistance in any immigration related matter. Although the governor can bring great influence on my community partnership, it does not mean that he has some kind of authority on the center. Like I mentioned before, the center works among themselves in order to provide the best service for the community, so therefore what the governor says can have little impact on it. What I am trying to make clear is that sure he can come and give the center a good name by working with them and letting people know about as well, but authority wise it does not have any kind of impact what so ever. The center primarily works with policy makers, lawyers, coalition partners, and of course other organizations in the same field.
